This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced, professional environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dental services. As a Dental Assistant Front / Back, you will support both administrative and clinical functions, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient experiences. This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to grow their career in dentistry while contributing to a welcoming and efficient practice. Duties Assist with chairside procedures across various specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental supplies, and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate medical imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, updating medical records in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, and verifying insurance information. Monitor vital signs and document medical documentation accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Support the dental team with medical coding and documentation to ensure proper billing and record keeping. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and answer questions regarding procedures or billing. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA regulations to ensure patient safety at all times. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and applying aseptic techniques. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental procedures across multiple specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics. Experience working with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation efficiently. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures when needed. Knowledge of infection control protocols, sterilization procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment in the clinical setting. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics; capable of explaining complex procedures clearly. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team employing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Experience with medical imaging tools such as 3D scanners or other advanced diagnostic equipment is advantageous but not required.
