Job Description:

Montclair Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a motivated and skilled individual for a long-term position to join our growing practice as a Registered Dental Assistant. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our growing pediatric practice while providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Responsibilities:

Work with a highly motivated team and have the potential to train new members. Provide high-quality patient care and follow office protocols. Assist dental providers during procedures by taking x-rays, coronal polish, prepare treatment rooms and provide chairside assistance as needed. Ensure patient comfort during treatments and handle patient-related concerns. Coordinate patient schedules to optimize office efficiency. Oversee proper sanitation and sterilization of dental tools and equipment. Greet and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner. Explain dental procedures, post-operative care, and preventive measures to patients. Ensure the highest level of care and accuracy in all dental procedures and services. Address any issues that arise and work toward continuous improvement in dental care delivery.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in dental assisting preferred X-ray certification required Coronal polishing certification required At least 2 years experience working in pediatric dentistry or with children Experience in dental assisting (4-handed dentistry) with the ability to cross train to help in the front office Proficiency in dental practice management software Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance billing practices Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance
