Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Sterilization Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for ensuring all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, organized, and ready for use. Your attention to detail and commitment to aseptic techniques will directly contribute to a safe and efficient dental practice environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in sterile processing while supporting exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and drying machines to thoroughly sterilize dental instruments. Manage inventory of sterilized supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and timely replenishment of essential items. Follow strict aseptic techniques during instrument handling, packaging, and storage to prevent contamination. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory logs for compliance and quality assurance purposes. Assist with the organization and storage of sterilized instruments in designated areas for easy access during procedures. Adhere to all safety protocols related to infection control, including proper disposal of contaminated materials and use of personal protective equipment. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for scheduled procedures. Experience Prior experience in sterile processing or medical equipment sterilization is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology enhances understanding of instrument requirements and patient safety considerations. Familiarity with medical terminology helps facilitate clear communication within the healthcare team. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures accurately and maintain meticulous records. Basic understanding of inventory management systems ensures efficient stock control and supply organization. Strong commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace aligned with aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
