Duties Assist orthodontists during procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and efficiency Prepare treatment by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly in accordance with infection control standards Take and develop dental X-rays, including panoramic and cephalometric images, utilizing digital imaging technology and ensuring patient comfort Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on orthodontic care instructions, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices tailored for pediatric dentistry and general dentistry patients Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist with medical imaging procedures to support comprehensive patient assessments Collaborate seamlessly with the reception team to schedule appointments, update medical documentation, and facilitate efficient clinic operations Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially within orthodontics or pediatric dentistry Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and medical coding standards Hands-on experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry to enhance workflow efficiency Familiarity with advanced dental technologies such as 3D scanners for precise orthodontic planning and treatment Understanding of HIPAA compliance to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety Join us in delivering exceptional orthodontic care that transforms smiles!
