Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures. Maintain clinical cleanliness by following infection control protocols and sterilization procedures aligned with OSHA standards. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical documentation efficiently. Assist with specialized procedures in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or general dentistry as needed. Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to aid diagnosis and treatment planning. Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate accurate documentation and billing processes. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, vital signs measurement, and infection control practices. Experience working with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records securely. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles to effectively support young patients' needs.
