The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Manage medical documentation accurately, including patient histories and treatment plans. Conduct X-ray imaging as required, following safety guidelines. Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and waiting areas. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Stay updated on best practices in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and infection control. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of medical coding and documentation practices is an asset. Familiarity with dental systems and software for record management is desirable. Strong understanding of infection control protocols in a clinical setting. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education. A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
