Full Job Description Dental Assistant Job Details:

part time position in San Pedro/Rancho Palos Verdes Job description includes: Assist the dentist during dental procedures. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations. Proficient in digital dental X-ray. Sterilize dental instruments and equipment. Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Perform dental charting and documentation. Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history. Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including passing instruments and materials to the dentist.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience. X-ray certification required. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
