Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant needed for Redding CA Sign-On Bonus $2000.00 We area dedicated to providing exceptional dental services tailored specifically for children. Our practice emphasizes a supportive, professional environment that fosters growth and delivers high-quality patient care across diverse communities. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented RDA or Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, infection control, and patient care. As a key member of our practice, you will facilitate smooth clinical operations, assist with dental procedures, and ensure an excellent patient experience through compassionate care and technical proficiency. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including the use of advanced imaging tools such as 3D scanners when applicable. Record accurate medical and dental histories, vital signs, and medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and scheduling appointments. Support the implementation of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality and medical records. Assist with medical coding and documentation for billing purposes while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. Educate patients on oral health practices tailored to pediatric needs and promote preventive care strategies. Skills Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for accurate documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures specific to pediatric dentistry. Experience with X-ray techniques, medical imaging, and 3D scanning technology. Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a sterile environment. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental treatments including endodontics and prosthodontics. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices for accurate billing and recordkeeping. Capable of managing multiple responsibilities such as vital signs measurement, medical documentation, and supporting general clinic operations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
For an RDA - California Registered Dental Assistant License CPR/BLS certification, X-Ray Certification Coronal Polish Certification required. Current BLS certification /. Preferred Sealant Certification Dental Assistants - Must have California x-ray license, Dental Certificates, CPR, BLS Preferred, Infection Control, CA Dental Practice Act.
INDSW Pay:
$22.00 - $29.00 per hour
