This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, remains calm and upbeat in high-energy situations, and takes pride in providing excellent patient experiences for both kids and parents.
What You'll Do:
Welcome and prepare children and parents for dental visits in a friendly, reassuring manner Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and tray setups. Clean and disinfect operatories between patients; restock and maintain supplies; perform instrument sterilization following infection control guidelines Clearly explain oral hygiene routines, treatment, and post-operative care instructions to parents and patients Support behavior guidance and safe stabilization techniques (including papoose board ) for younger/anxious patients Take dental X-rays (certification required or willingness to obtain) Assist the dentist during exams and dental procedures Maintain and organize patient records accurately and efficiently Collaborate between clinical and front office staff to keep patient flow smooth and efficient Assist with admin tasks during slower periods: chart organization, appointment confirmation, scheduling support. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn new skills as the practice grows Assist with end-of-day closing duties including: operatory clean up, equipment shutdown, and general office tidiness Who We're Looking For Dental Assistant with experience preferred; motivated entry-level candidates welcomed Bi-lingual (Spanish) is required to communicate with patient families Detail-oriented, responsible professional, and arrives prepared for scheduled shifts Team-oriented personality with a strong work ethic Comfortable working with children of all ages, including anxious or uncooperative patients Calm, patient, and positive demeanor in a fast-paced environment Strong chair-side manner and communication skills with both kids and parents Someone looking for a long-term position who values consistency, teamwork, and professional growth in our dental office.
Our office hours are:
Monday•
Friday:
10AM•6
PM Saturdays:
9AM•2PM (1x/month with a weekday off for that week)
Pay:
$17.00•$22.00 per hour
