Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using aseptic techniques Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, following safety protocols aligned with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records efficiently using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and ease Coordinate with dental reception staff to schedule appointments, confirm patient information, and handle administrative tasks seamlessly Maintain infection control standards by adhering to OSHA guidelines and proper sterilization procedures in the dental clinic environment Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow efficiency Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively within the team Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and accurately Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to greet patients warmly and coordinate appointments smoothly Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices to support young patients comfortably in a pediatric-focused practice Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate care backed by technical expertise.
