Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with a focus on pediatric dentistry, and demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to a caring practice committed to improving children's oral health while advancing your professional expertise. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting and medical imaging, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, adhering to all safety protocols and radiation guidelines. Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide vital signs monitoring and assist with medical documentation for pediatric patients. Educate patients and their guardians on oral health practices, dental terminology, and post-treatment care instructions. Support administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Collaborate in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize efficiency during procedures in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties. Qualifications Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification. Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting, preferably with pediatric patients. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for medical documentation and records management. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding relevant to dental procedures. Experience operating dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to work effectively within a team environment focused on delivering compassionate care.
