Job Description
Job Overview Seeking a Dental Assistant. You will support dentists in delivering exceptional dental care by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols. Your proactive approach will foster a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. Pay based on experience and dental licenses and certificates. Responsibilities Prepare treatment areas with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization using aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support. Take digital dental X-rays, including 3D scans. Manage patient records accurately. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions in clear, compassionate language. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical documentation like medical coding and records. Maintain infection control standards by following strict protocols for sterilization and handling of dental instruments and equipment. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with general dentistry procedures is essential. Proficiency with dental software systems. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology enhances communication with team members and patients. Experience performing X-ray procedures and utilizing medical imaging tools like 3D scanners is desirable. Understanding of HIPAA compliance, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques ensures a safe environment for patients and staff. Background in endodontics, oral surgery and implants is preferred Certification or training in chairside assisting, will strengthen your application.
