In this vital role, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality care across general dentistry and specialized fields such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including X-ray imaging, medical imaging, and dental restorations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records accurately within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, including medical documentation and coding. Collect vital signs and review medical history to support comprehensive patient assessments. Provide excellent dental receptionist support by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and guiding patients through their visit. Support pediatric dentistry procedures by engaging young patients with patience and understanding while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain an organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols and managing dental supplies efficiently. Assist with advanced technology such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools to enhance diagnostic accuracy. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote long-term oral health. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting, preferably with exposure to general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging techniques, and chairside assisting in pediatric dentistry environments. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and support infection prevention protocols effectively. Experience with medical coding for accurate billing and documentation purposes is a plus.
