In this energetic and fast-paced position, you'll support dentists during procedures, ensure clinical excellence, and help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will contribute to the smooth operation of our clinic. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) and operate advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners to support accurate diagnoses. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history accurately to assist with comprehensive patient care. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the clinic. Follow strict infection control procedures including dental sterilization protocols and aseptic techniques to uphold healthcare infection prevention standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding and documentation is a plus. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform dental X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and oral surgery procedures. Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers. Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent credentials; additional training in pediatric dentistry or endodontics is advantageous.
