Our philosophy is all about putting patients first, because frankly, that's what you deserve. We are currently looking for a Dental Assistant for our busy office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations. This position is crucial in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and staff. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate logs and documentation of sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance. Clean, sterilize, and package dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols and standards. Perform routine checks on sterilization equipment and report any malfunctioning to the office manager. Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of sterilization supplies, ordering as needed. Ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection control and safety practices within the dental office. Organize clean instruments and ensure that work areas are maintained in a tidy and sanitary condition. Work closely with dentists and dental hygienists to ensure instrument availability and readiness for procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in sterilization or dental assisting is a plus. Previous experience in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instruction Knowledge of sterilization methods and infection control protocols. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities. Strong communication skills, with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
