This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced dental professionals, supporting various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations. Whether assisting during procedures, managing patient records, or maintaining infection control standards, your contribution will help create a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients. We're looking for a motivated individual to support our team on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays at our general dentistry practice in Lower Nob Hill, San Francisco. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up trays, and ensuring infection control standards are followed. Capture dental X-rays using equipment such as intraoral units and Pan-Ceph-CBCT machines. Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical documentation for patients and review patient medical histories. Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas adhere to OSHA standards (OSHA training will be provided). Communicate patient diagnoses to front desk/treatment coordinator to ensure accurate and timely treatment planning. Requirements Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting and medical terminology. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Carestream; knowledge of dental coding and records management is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; California Radiation Safety Certification required. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times (HIPAA training will be provided). Fluency or proficiency in Russian, Spanish, or Chinese is a plus.
