In this pivotal role, you will support our dental professionals in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic environment. Your expertise in dental assisting will help us create positive experiences for our patients, particularly in pediatric dentistry. What you'll do Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Manage patient records and medical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available. Perform X-ray imaging and medical imaging procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Support the front office as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Monitor vital signs and assist with patient assessments, demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term health. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper handling of dental materials. Basic qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting, with familiarity in general dentistry practices. Preferred qualifications Bein bilingual is a big plus Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental, ITero Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and techniques related to endodontics and prosthodontics. Familiarity with medical coding, medical records management, and the ability to navigate Epic systems effectively.
