Job Description

Are you looking to be part of an exciting, growing orthodontic practice where your work truly makes a difference? San Rafael Orthodontics is a modern, patient-centered practice dedicated to providing high-quality orthodontic care in a friendly and professional environment. We're looking for a motivated and adaptable Orthodontic Assistant who is also open to supporting select front desk and administrative duties. About the Role This is a unique opportunity to join a startup practice and grow with us! You'll work closely with Dr. Ana to provide exceptional patient care while also helping with key administrative functions as needed. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and eager to take on a variety of roles within the office.
Responsibilities Clinical:
Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments (bonding, adjustments, scanning, photos, etc.) Be the best part of a patient's day Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas Ensure that all appliances have been received Maintain OSHA standards and complete/log weekly/monthly maintenance of dental related equipment Ensure clinical notes, care calls, and communication with dentists is completed Take digital scans, photos, and CBCT xrays (training will be provided) and implement quality assurance on all records Educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment care Ensure the parking lot, entrances, reception, bathrooms, all offices and clinic represent the quality of treatment we provide.
Administrative:
Be the best part of a patient's day Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming experience Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient communication Consistent communication with the doctor regarding the daily patient flow. Assist with insurance verification and treatment coordinator (training provided) Support daily office operations and help maintain smooth workflow Help with marketing campaigns as needed Qualifications Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred Current California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA) Radiology and CPR certifications a plus Strong communication and multitasking skills Positive attitude and team-player mindset Willingness to learn new skills and grow with the practice Why Join Us Be part of a growing, supportive, and positive team Opportunity to help shape the culture and systems of a new practice Competitive pay based on experience If you're friendly, reliable, and excited to grow your career in orthodontics — we'd love to hear from you!
