Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become an essential part of delivering exceptional patient care! In this vibrant role, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure a smooth flow of clinic operations, and provide compassionate assistance to patients of all ages. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental health journey. We are looking for energetic, detail-oriented professionals eager to make a positive impact in general and pediatric dentistry settings. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist with accurate diagnoses while maintaining proper safety standards. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs during procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures tailored to pediatric or general dentistry needs. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and maintaining organized medical documentation. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and medical coding standards. Experience with medical imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanner technology for comprehensive diagnostics. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient health during treatments in compliance with safety protocols. Skilled in chairside assisting across diverse specialties such as endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of medical records and patient information. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team and provide outstanding patient care in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 per week
