Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant for our dental practice to support clinical operations and ensure exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures, medical documentation, and infection control protocols. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic dental team committed to excellence. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards. Take and develop X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety guidelines. Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including medical history, dental terminology, and medical coding. Support chairside assisting by managing vital signs, medical imaging, and providing patient education on dental procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dental equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Coordinate with the front desk team as a dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is required, with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and terminology. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential. Experience with pediatric dentistry, 3D scanners, medical documentation, and medical records management is preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dentistry, including vital signs monitoring and medical imaging techniques. Familiarity with dental specialties such as prosthodontics or endodontics will be considered an asset. Certification in X-ray or chairside assisting is advantageous; however, comprehensive training will be provided for qualified candidates eager to learn.
