Registered Dental Assistant

Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorations, endodontics and temporary crown . Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using electronic medical record ,maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions clearly and empathetically. Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold the highest standards of safety. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems Dentrix and open dental . Experience with chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry to improve workflow efficiency. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with attention to detail. Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes within a dental clinic environment. Experience as a dental receptionist or front desk assistant is a plus. Experience in private practice and being a team player is a plus . Excellent attendance , be on time is a must have !
