This role combines front desk administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless patient experience from appointment scheduling to treatment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing their appointments, insurance verifications, and medical records while supporting the clinical team with dental procedures and documentation. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle billing tasks including medical collection and coding using CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes Maintain accurate and up-to-date dental records, medical records, and electronic health records (EHR systems) such as Meditech or Athenahealth Assist dentists during procedures by preparing materials, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort Review documentation for accuracy and completeness; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and health information management Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; handle appointment scheduling and patient inquiries efficiently Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), insurance verification, and clinic organization to optimize office flow Requirements Proven experience in a dental office setting or medical administrative support role with strong clerical skills Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Eaglesoft; experience with Dentrix is preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance processes including Medicare and Medicaid billing Ability to navigate multiple computer programs confidently; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Excellent patient service skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA standards; maintain confidentiality at all times Prior clinic or hospital experience is highly desirable; familiarity with dental clinic operations is preferred Join our team where your enthusiasm meets purpose!
