This vital role combines clinical assistance with front desk responsibilities, ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient office management. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, insurance verifications, and medical records while assisting dental professionals with clinical procedures. We value proactive, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are committed to delivering outstanding service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems including eClinicalWorks or similar platforms Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and ensuring patient comfort Perform administrative duties such as answering multi-line phones with professional phone etiquette, managing appointment reminders, and filing medical records securely Review documentation for accuracy, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and support medical coding activities including CPT and ICD coding for billing purposes Manage office supplies, organize files, and support overall clinic operations to enhance workflow efficiency Qualifications Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 codes, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth; familiarity with Meditech or eClinicalWorks is advantageous Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key), and familiarity with health information management systems Exceptional patient service skills with professional phone etiquette and strong organizational abilities Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and review documentation thoroughly Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Office management skills including scheduling appointments, filing documents, and maintaining medical records in a HIPAA-compliant manner Join us to be part of a supportive team dedicated to providing top-quality dental care while fostering a positive environment for both patients and staff.
