  • Part-time, Full-time Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Experienced Dental Assistant & Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team.
This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while managing front-office operations seamlessly. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and a comprehensive understanding of dental procedures and administrative duties. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment for patients, supporting clinical excellence, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Paid positions are available, emphasizing our commitment to valuing every team member's contribution. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and more, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring strict adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while maintaining compliance with dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety standards. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; verify patient information and update medical records accurately. Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations. Handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls as a dental receptionist, managing medical documentation, coding procedures for billing purposes, and maintaining organized medical records. Ensure clinical confidentiality policies are followed diligently while processing dental instruments and maintaining infection control standards across all clinical areas. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting and reception duties. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental procedures across various specialties such as pediatrics, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and general dentistry. Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or similar healthcare software is a plus. Competence in taking dental x-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technologies. Knowledge of infection prevention management practices including sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of clinical confidentiality and infection control protocols. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatric populations when applicable. Certification or training in medical coding is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated.
