Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. This role combines front desk administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid background in dental office procedures. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims efficiently utilizing systems like Vyne. Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and maintaining sterilization protocols in compliance with OSHA standards. Review patient medical records for accuracy, update health histories, and ensure documentation review aligns with HIPAA regulations. Manage billing and collections. Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette while providing exceptional patient service at the front desk. Maintain organized filing of dental records and ensure confidentiality of health information management in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Requirements Prior experience in a dental clinic or dental office environment is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and dental billing procedures. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing skills of at least 10 key per minute are required. Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience. Ability to handle insurance verification processes accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards. Bilingual abilities are considered an asset to better serve diverse patient populations. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 - 30.0 per week
