Registered Dental Assistant Certified Dental Assistant Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Perform infection control procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment system
- Assist with front office duties such as answering phones, filing, and billing
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix/ Dexis
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and dental anatomy
