In this role, you will support the team in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a smooth clinical workflow. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient chairside support. Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Taking dental X-rays and ensuring accurate diagnostic results. Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and functioning as a dental receptionist to enhance patient flow. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and the importance of preventive dentistry. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such Open Dental but able train if not familiar. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology. Familiarity with infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes ensures patient safety at all times. Experience assisting with complex procedures like prosthodontics or endodontics is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for specialized areas. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners confidently. Can train if no experience with scanners. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive medical information. Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
