The Health District Family Dental Clinic is seeking a Dental Assistant who is team-oriented and committed to excellent patient care. In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population in a busy public health clinic that prioritizes whole-person care and clinical excellence. Pay Range and Status $22.74 - $25.58 per hour, dependent on qualifications (DOQ) An additional 3% pay differential for Bilingual 40 hours per week (non-exempt) Monday- Friday Primarily office-based with occasional meaningful community engagement For full qualifications and responsibilities, please review the job description at www.healthdistrict.org/careers. Qualifications High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) A minimum of one year of experience Completion of an accredited dental assistant training program Radiology certification CPR certification (ability to obtain/maintain) Willingness to meet requirements for a surgical assistant role with our General Anesthesia Program (GAP) OSHA training (or willingness to obtain/maintain) Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Direct patient care experience in a clinical setting A high level of cultural humility and ability to effectively interact, work, and develop meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, including cultures, beliefs, customs, socioeconomic statuses, abilities, genders, gender identities, and sexualities Work with and be sensitive to the needs of those with physical and mental health conditions Written and oral fluency in English and Spanish language and experience providing language interpretation in a dental or medical setting Key Responsibilities Chair-side assistance Sterilization Lab procedures Taking x-rays How to Apply If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role and include relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, education, work, and lived/ living experience.
