Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to improved patient experiences and optimal treatment outcomes. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentist chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed for both patients and staff. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to enhance understanding and comfort. Monitor vital signs when necessary, especially for pediatric or medically compromised patients, ensuring their safety throughout treatment. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following aseptic techniques and infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination. Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team through four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with general dentistry chairside assisting and patient care protocols. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, HIPAA compliance, and familiarity with electronic health systems, particularly Dentrix is beneficial. Experience working with patients of all ages is advantageous to foster a friendly atmosphere. Pay:
$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
