The Dental Hygiene Assistant works closely with the Registered Dental Hygienist to provide exceptional patient care, maintain efficient patient flow, and support clinical operations. This position plays an important role in ensuring patients have a positive and comfortable experience while receiving preventive dental care.
Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and fully stocked. Seat patients and review medical histories and necessary documentation. Assist hygienists during patient care as needed. Take and develop digital dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations. Perform intraoral scans, photographs, and other diagnostic procedures as directed. Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols according to OSHA and CDC guidelines. Set up and break down operatories between patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care as directed by the hygienist. Maintain and stock dental supplies and inventory for hygiene operatories. Assist with periodontal charting and data entry. Schedule patient appointments and assist with patient communication when needed. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records. Support front office and clinical team members as necessary. Maintain a professional, positive, and patient-centered environment.
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
