Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records efficiently Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate procedures and instructions to patients Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic role with familiarity in general dentistry practices Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety guidelines Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Experience assisting with pediatric dentistry and working with diverse patient populations is preferred Certification or training in chairside assisting, medical coding, or related areas is advantageous Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering top-tier dental care while fostering your professional growth.
