We're excited to welcome a new Dental Assistant to our team! We offer excellent compensation based on experience and are happy to provide training if needed. At our practice, you'll play a key role in creating a smooth, comfortable experience for our patients. We value individuals with strong customer service skills, a friendly attitude, and the ability to make patients feel at ease. What you'll do: Warmly welcome patients and prepare them for treatment or checkups. Ensure patients are comfortable and well-cared-for throughout their visit. Set up and organize instruments, equipment, and materials for procedures. Sterilize instruments following the highest standards. Assist the dentist using four-handed dentistry techniques. Perform lab tasks as needed. Provide clear post-operative and oral hygiene instructions to patients. Keep the dental room clean, organized, and well-stocked. Help with scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate patient records. Assist with payment processes. What we're looking for: A passion for helping people and making a positive impact. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Willingness to learn and follow health and safety regulations. Previous experience as a dental assistant is a plus, but not required. Ability to perform regulated tasks like coronal polishing is an asset. Basic computer skills. High school diploma required; dental assistant school graduates and additional certifications (such as EFDA) are preferred. What dental procedures are you most confident assisting with? Please describe your level of experience with each. Describe your experience taking dental impressions. What materials have you used and what types of prosthetics were the impressions for? Do you have experience using intraoral scanners? If yes, please list which scanners (e.g., iTero, Trios, etc.) and the types of procedures you scanned for. Can you describe your process for setting up a room for a root canal procedure? What instruments and materials do you prepare? What is your level of comfort assisting with surgical procedures? Please describe any experience you have with extractions, implant surgeries, or other surgical setups. Have you performed coronal polishing or applied fluoride? If yes, what training or certification do you have, and how often have you performed these tasks? How do you ensure a room is properly sterilized and set up between patients? Please walk us through your routine. What steps do you take to make patients feel comfortable and prepared before a procedure begins? How do you handle instrument sterilization and inventory management in the back office? Do you have experience with digital X-rays or sensors? What systems or machines have you used? What tasks or procedures do you feel you need more training in or are not yet fully confident performing on your own? If hired, what would be your biggest strengths and your biggest learning opportunities during your first month with us? Have you ever trained or mentored another dental assistant?
