The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use. Take dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix Ascend dental software. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Stay updated with dental terminology relevant to the practice. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of dental terminology is essential for effective communication within the team and with patients. Ability to take X-rays safely and accurately while following all regulatory guidelines. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients of all ages. Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations is required.
