Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Front Desk professional to join our dynamic team. This role combines clinical assisting with front office responsibilities, ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate medical documentation, and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of dental procedures and administrative processes along with a positive attitude. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various clinical procedures, including chairside assisting, dental x-ray, and oral surgery support, while maintaining strict adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring proper sterilization procedures are followed in accordance with dental sterilization protocols. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently as a dental receptionist, including scheduling appointments and updating medical records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Take medical history updates, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Operate dental imaging equipment Maintain inventory of dental supplies and instruments. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patients with a smile and pleasant demeanor. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing electronic health records. Proficiency in dental radiography including X-ray techniques specific to pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery cases. Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Experience supporting four-handed dentistry practices and assisting with complex procedures such as endodontics or oral surgery is highly desirable. Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude.
