We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Dental Assistant. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for running a hygiene column and assisting the doctor during dental procedures. Experience is preferred, but no experience will also be considered as we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow with us.Key Responsibilities:
Run a hygiene column efficiently, ensuring patient appointments are scheduled and managed effectively. Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including but not limited to, preparing instruments, passing instruments during procedures, and providing chairside assistance. Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist. Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatment. Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially. -Take and record patient medical history and vital signs. Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records. Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized dental office environment.Qualifications:
Experience is preferred, but no prior experience will be considered; we are willing to train the right candidate. High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification or willingness to obtain certification as a Dental Assistant preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ethical and dependable with a strong work ethic. Willingness to learn and take direction from supervising dentists and senior staff. A passion for providing quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for every patient.- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Curve Hero. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients and dental team members. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with medical coding and insurance billing processes is a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information. Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols.Benefits:
