The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the office. Support the front desk with administrative tasks such as answering phones and handling patient inquiries when necessary. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques. Qualifications Knowledge of anatomy, particularly related to dental health, is essential. Experience in pediatrics or working with children is preferred. Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus. Previous experience in dental assisting is required; knowledge of Eaglesoft software is advantageous. Understanding of infection control standards and practices in a dental setting. Experience in prosthodontics or endodontics will be considered an asset. Ability to perform receptionist duties as needed, including managing patient records and scheduling appointments. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
