Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient appointments Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools, adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Open Dental and Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support safe treatment planning for patients with diverse needs Provide chairside assistance with dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge to facilitate smooth procedures Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting duties Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in accordance with industry standards Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic is a plus Ability to perform dental X-rays accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety Strong grasp of dental terminology, medical coding, and medical records management for comprehensive documentation Experience in general dentistry settings involving chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and handling medical imaging equipment Embark on your career journey with us where your skills will make a difference every day!
