Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using Dentrix or similar dental software. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups and reminders for patients. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining infection control protocols. Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming environment for young patients. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient experiences and address any concerns or questions. Skills Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures related to dental assisting. Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with managing medical records efficiently within a clinical setting. Knowledge of prosthodontics practices is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience using 3D scanners for dental impressions is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, particularly in pediatric settings.
