Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental assisting tasks and a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials for patient care. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance the efficiency of dental procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Manage patient records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and waiting areas. Assist with pediatric patients, demonstrating patience and understanding in pediatric dentistry settings. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when required. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with Dentrix or Eaglesoft software is highly desirable. Experience with medical imaging techniques is an asset. Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles is beneficial. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times. Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory.
