In this energetic and fast-paced position, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure a smooth flow within the clinic, and help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of infection control, patient safety, and clinical excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings while working with advanced dental technology. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix, document medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Assist alongside in surgeries including dental extractions, dental implants, gum grafting and more. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical documentation and records management is highly desirable. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in pediatric dentistry settings when needed. Competence in taking X-rays (including digital radiography) and operating medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists.
