Our office is small, family oriented practice with one doctor and a warm, supportive atmosphere where the patients and the team members are treated with genuine care and respect. Overview Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and traditional radiography tools, ensuring accuracy and patient safety Manage patient records electronically using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, documenting treatment details, vital signs, and medical history in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and guiding patients through their visit process Support medical documentation and coding for billing purposes while ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date in accordance with medical terminology standards Perform vital signs assessments and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures to ensure a comfortable experience for young patients Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in dental assisting roles is highly preferred Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential for managing patient data efficiently Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging technology including 3D scanners, and infection control practices is required Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to support accurate communication and documentation Experience supporting multiple specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry enhances your versatility as a Dental Assistant Certification in radiography or dental assisting is advantageous; ongoing training in medical coding or Epic systems is a plus We are looking for enthusiastic professionals eager to grow within a collaborative environment that values your skills.
