Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Certified Dental Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support a dentist in delivering high-quality treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help create a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment for every patient. Responsibilities Assist a dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry and prosthodontics using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed. Manage patient records efficiently. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure a positive experience. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow seamlessly. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively with team members and patients. Requirements Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by local regulations. Proven experience working in a dental environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently across various specialties including prosthodontics. Competence in taking X-rays. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. $34.00 - $36.00 per hour
