In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a smooth workflow within our busy dental clinic. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, professional setting dedicated to improving smiles and promoting oral health. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for each patient Perform chairside assisting with precision, including taking X-rays, medical imaging, and operating dental equipment such as 3D scanners Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, Dentrix, while maintaining HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality Take vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to promote safety and relaxation Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization practices Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent customer service as a dental receptionist when needed Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy Proficiency in EMR systems such as, Dentrix, familiarity with medical documentation and coding is a plus Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety guidelines for medical imaging and radiation exposure Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and explain procedures clearly Certification or training in dental assisting, including chairside assisting, is highly desirable Embark on your journey as a Dental Assistant where your skills make a real difference!
