We are looking for someone who is friendly, energetic, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves coordinating patient treatment plans, handling front desk responsibilities to ensure seamless patient experience, and assisting in orthodontic procedures as needed. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented environment, enjoys working with children and families, and is eager to help our practice continue to grow and succeed. Crossed trained is a plus. Responsibilities Front Desk duties includes:
greet and check out patients with a welcoming attitude; answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patients inquiries; verify insurance information and process billing/payments; manage patient records and ensure all forms are up to date.
Treatment Coordination duties includes:
educate patients on treatment plans, financial options, and insurance benefits; schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently; maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation; serve as a liaison between patients, orthodontists, and insurance providers. Assist the doctor during orthodontic and dental procedures while maintaining an efficient clinical workflow Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment according to infection control and safety standards Take digital X-rays and ensure compliance with all safety protocols Familiar with taking intraoral scans and orthodontic records Provide support in orthodontic procedures with professionalism and attention to patient comfort Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and pre- and post-treatment instructions Maintain treatment room cleanliness and manage clinical inventory and supplies Support daily office operations and help foster a positive team environment Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming experience for every patient Qualifications Previous Orthodontic dental assisting experience required Experience working with a dental or orthodontic setting strongly preferred CPR certification required AED certification preferred EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) certification preferred. Most be able to communicate in English/Spanish Knowledge of dental procedures, anatomy, sterilization, and infection control protocols Ability to take accurate dental X-rays and maintain organized patient records Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach Highly organized, dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in dental practice management software is a plus.
