Certified Dental Assistant

We are a general dentistry practice looking for a Certified Dental Assistant or an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. Our office is located in Daytona Beach, FL. Most of our work days start at 7:30. Our office is paperless, using Dentrix Ascend with digital radiographs, CT/Pan, digital scanning and CEREC milling. Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Take dental x-rays
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
• Assist with dental lab tasks, such designing and milling crowns and taking digital scans.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• X-ray certification required
• Must have one year of dental assisting experience
• Experience working with dental technology
• Proficiency in using electronic dental software systems for patient management, scheduling, and billing
• Knowledge of dental coding and insurance billing processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
