Dental Assistant

Private general dentistry practice in Dunedin, FL seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant preferably with at least 2 years of experience to join our team. This position is currently for 3 full days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with the potential to add additional days in the future. As a Dental Assistant, you will play an essential role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the office runs efficiently. We are looking for a candidate who is a quick learner and will help ensure the utmost comfort of our patients.

Requirements:

Preferred 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant X-ray certification Highly motivated with a positive attitude Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic Accountable and reliable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment EFDA certification and experience with Open Dental are a plus.

Responsibilities:

Assisting chairside procedures Operatory set up and clean up Taking impressions Sterilizing instruments Fabricating temporary crowns Recording health history and vital signs Providing patients with procedure-related education and instructions Maintaining a clean and organized dental office Keeping inventory of dental supplies Keeping accurate patient records- charting, clinical notes Filling in basic front desk duties if necessary (answering phones, scheduling)
