In this energetic role, you will assist the doctor during patient treatments, answer phones and greet patients. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental journey. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. Responsibilities Assist dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all tools are sterilized and organized according to aseptic technique standards. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment and traditional radiography tools while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records by accurately and securely complying with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation. Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures, disposal of contaminated materials, and adherence to OSHA guidelines. Educate patients on oral health practices, dental terminology, and post-treatment care to promote ongoing wellness. Qualifications •
EXPERIENCE NOT NECESSARY
• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and maintaining sterile environments is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
