Your expertise in dental procedures, patient care, and medical documentation will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry and oral surgery. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are upheld. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by managing dental terminology, vital signs, and medical documentation. Support administrative duties as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments and managing patient flow efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment through infection control practices and knowledge of anatomy to assist with various procedures seamlessly. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting techniques. Knowledge of EMR systems. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and aseptic technique. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety guidelines. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures using dental terminology clearly to patients of all ages. Certification or training in chairside assisting, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control is preferred.
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
