In this vital role, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, and foster a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us maintain the highest standards of infection control, patient safety, and clinical efficiency. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting dedicated to improving oral health. Duties Assist dentists chairside during general dentistry procedures, including taking and developing X-ray images and operating 3D scanners. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments using aseptic techniques and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Take vital signs and medical histories to support comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate with medical documentation protocols. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to strict protocols for sterilization, handling medical imaging equipment, and practicing proper anatomy knowledge during procedures. Assist with coding and documentation to ensure accurate billing and recordkeeping in compliance with healthcare regulations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines. Knowledge of dental anatomy. Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff while providing compassionate patient support. EFDA certification preferred.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
