Spanish & English is mandatory We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. In this pivotal role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a positive experience for every patient while supporting the efficient running of the clinic. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Verify insurance coverage, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private plans, utilizing systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or EHR platforms. Collect payments and perform medical billing and collection activities accurately, including CPT coding and ICD coding. Manage patient records with meticulous attention to HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of sensitive health information. Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and handling inquiries promptly. Review documentation for accuracy, process intake forms, update medical records, and assist with care plan coordination. Perform insurance verification and pre-authorizations to streamline patient visits. Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and office documents while supporting clinic administrative tasks as needed. Requirements Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong front desk or administrative support skills. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth is highly preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures. Ability to navigate computer software including Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus. Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and strong communication abilities. Bilingual skills are desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Prior clinic or hospital experience is advantageous; familiarity with health information management standards such as HIPAA is essential.
